> Maunspiek (MAUN: Maunspiek /ˈmaʊnspik/), also known as Mountain Cant, is an English-based cant augmented by another conlang designed to be a secret language that is somewhat easy for an English speaker to learn.

> It was heavily inspired by DJP's language, TRIG, which was designed for and heavily featured in the television series, The 100. Despite the core similarities, however, it's safe to say that the two are not mutually intelligible or "dialects" of each other.

> A fair portion of the lexicon is derived from roundabout, indirect ways of describing things, as opposed to terms directly taken from English (for instance, MAUN hekova, meaning hat, comes from English head cover). Other words are taken from slang or in-jokes, and the rest are mostly clipped / obfuscated words from English or loans from another conlang.
